Welcome 2020

Happy 2020 Lovers!

Not only have we welcomed a new year but a new decade, too! I stepped back from my website and from creating a great deal since I launched this site originally. It was some much needed time away to think and grow, but I’ve absolutely missed you all and this.

When this site began, I was working in New York City, running half marathons and fairly content. Since then, I moved to Colorado, skied an insane amount in some epic snow, got a major knee surgery, rehabbed that injury and moved to Connecticut to try to figure out what I’m really doing. If there’s something I truly learned throughout 2019 it’s that life is an absolute b*tch but we have the power to choose how we view each day. 2019 was really hard personally for myself and my family and I cannot say enough how grateful I am for the friends that gathered around me to support me. I have since picked myself up and try my best to wake up every single morning full of gratitude and choose to have a good day.

That is how I’m taking on 2020 - knowing that I have the power to decide how my day will go. I can either try to see through a positive lens or let negativity throw a cloud over my day. It’s not easy to make the decision to have a good day, I get that, believe me. Sometimes you wake up and absolutely hate your job, don’t want to go to work, or maybe you overslept and now you’re rushing out the door but all it takes is one second to let those feelings take over or to stop them and change your perspective. For me, I want to continue to choose positivity, to choose happiness and to choose me. When I’m happy that flows over to my relationships with my family and friends exponentially.

That said, I’m back and feel more passionate than ever about writing and growing this beautiful community I began. I want this to truly be a place where we can grow and share and be our full selves. I started this website with the intention that I’m not some incredible cook, or photographer, or decorator or anything like that, but I am a great story teller and I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.

So, with that being said, let’s grow this B! I’m so excited to be back with you all and see where this goes.
